What is the $25 charge?

The $25 on your statement is a temporary card verification hold, not a fee — and it's different from the $30 late-booking fee and the $20 rescheduling fee.

A $25 temporary verification hold is placed on your card as an anti-fraud measure. When we store your card details or collect payment information, the card processor asks your bank to authorize $25 to confirm the card is valid and active.

This is not a fee and it is not your fare. It is a hold, not a completed charge — your bank releases it, usually within a few business days. The timing depends on your bank, not on Kidmoto.

Not to be confused with:

  • The $30 late booking fee, which can apply to short-notice rides and is a real charge added to your final bill a few days after your ride.

  • The $20 rescheduling fee, which applies to same-day changes.

If the $25 hold is still showing on your statement after several business days, text us at 844-542-5188 or email [email protected] and we'll look into it with you. For a full breakdown of what you'll pay, see Kidmoto Pricing, Fees & Surcharges.
